National Social Enterprise Census

Help Build the Most Complete Picture of Ireland's Social Enterprise Sector

The National Social Enterprise Census is now open.

This is the only nationwide effort to capture a comprehensive picture of social enterprises across Ireland — who they are, what they do, the people they employ, the communities they serve and the impact they create.

The information gathered will provide vital evidence to support future policy development, investment decisions and sector supports. The stronger the response rate, the stronger the evidence base for social enterprises at both national and local level.

If social enterprises are not represented in the data, they risk being overlooked in the decisions that shape the future of the sector.

County Participation Table

The table below shows the number of Census responses received from each county to date.

How is your county performing?

Counties with higher participation rates will have a stronger voice in the national picture of the social enterprise sector. We encourage social enterprises in every county to take part and help ensure their local community is fully represented.
